Youth and Family Center honors Webster City American Legion and Lambi

The Youth and Family Center of Hamilton County held their annual Friends Campaign Kickoff and Holiday Party at the Hamilton County ISU Extension office  Tuesday evening. A special recognition was presented to American Legion Post 191 with a Philanthropy Award by Community Advisory Board Co-chair Kathy Birkestrand to Legion Commander Doug Johnson. For many years the Legion has held a toll road in Webster City with proceeds going to numerous local programs including the Youth and Family Center.

 

A volunteer service award was presented to Sherry Lambi by Kathy Birkestrand for Lambi's service on the Community Advisory Board. Lambi has been a member of the board for the last several years in addition to her work on the Hamilton Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, 4-H Leader and other community projects.

The board also recognized Pam Hammond for her 10 years of service to the Youth  and Family Center. Hammond was unable to attend the Tuesday evening ceremony.
