Wright County Supervisors discuss plans for a new engineer's office building.
Posted: Oct 16 2012 by ppowers

On Monday, the Wright County Board of Supervisors met with County Engineer Adam Clemons and Gary Anderson of Skott and Anderson Architects to discuss plans for a new engineer's office building. The building will be a pre-engineered metal building with metal siding and roof with a total measurement of 3,508 square feet. The building will include office space for the engineer, assistant engineer, lab technician and office manager as well as garage space and an update lab for material testing. The reason for the proposal is to bring the engineer and office staff closer to the secondary roads crew, increase working space and update the lab because the current facility is beyond repair. The architect's estimated cost is set at $385.000 which includes  general construction, plumbing mechanical and electrical work. The Wright County Supervisors approved the plans by a vote of 4 to 1 with supervisor Maasdam voting no.

The Wright County Supervisors postponed the November 12 classification and annexation hearing for Drainage District 23 and adopted a resolution approving the engineer's report. The hearing was rescheduled to November 26 at 10:00a.m.
