Posted: Apr 02 2013 by ppowers

The Wright County Supervisors Monday approved plans to participate in the RIC (Retired Investment Club) State Program. Steve Burkheimer spoke to the board on the purpose of the investment club. The club would allow county employees to contribute to this particular retirement fund. There are similar RIC programs offered to school district employees across the state. All of the funds will be monitored to make sure they are safely and securely funded.  Wright County employees would have six months to make any changes to their own plans.

The board also met with Amanda Baker of Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield to review the Iowa State Association of Counties Health Insurance Renewal program. Board chairman Stan Watne said they will do some research on the plan with a decision to be made at next Monday's board meeting.

There was the approval of the amended depositories for the Wright County Treasurer's office. First Citizen National Bank will increase their deposit up to 10 million dollars, First State of Clarion to increase their deposits to $500,000 and Security Savings Bank to be reduced $1,000,000.
