Webster City Municipal Airport to receive new automatic weather equipment.

 The Webster City Municipal Airport was one of eight Iowa airports to receive funding to install new weather reporting equipment for pilots. Iowa U.S. Senator Tom Harkin announced the eight airports will receive a total of $982,992 from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration to install the equipment. The automatic weather observing system will enhance the safety and efficiency of airport operations by providing accurate, current and site-specific weather information.The other airports to receive funding are located in Boone, Keokuk,Le Mars, Muscatine, Red Oak and Shenandoah.
