Webster City City Council to meet Monday afternoon.

 The next Webster City City Council meeting is Monday afternoon at 5:15 p.m. in the city council chambers. The agenda includes two appointments to the Civil Service Commission,approval of establishing an investment advisory committee. There will also be the first reading of an ordinance to repeal the position of city treasurer. The first reading of a proposed ordinance concerning the Senior Citizens Center Advisory Board will be held. A request to replace the carpet in the City Hall hallways,council chambers and conference room will be considered. The council make a motion on the request to submit a grant application to the U.S.Department of Justice for a "Bulletproof Vest Partnership" grant for the Police Department.

In other matters the council will set the date for a work session on the proposed animal control ordinance. A public hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m. on the proposed maps,specifications and form of contract for the Water Distribution System Improvement Project.Following the business at city hall, the council will travel to the former Beam building at 1700 West Second Street for a tour of the facility.
