Van Diest Medical Center Board faces brief agenda Tuesday night.
Posted: Nov 20 2013 by ppowers

At their meeting Tuesday night, the Van Diest Medical Center board of trustees approved the purchase of a 63 inch snow blower add-on for the Kubota tractor used at the local hospital. The blower will be used for the removal of snow on the hospital property. The walk behind snow blower cannot handle the large snow amounts. Maintenance personnel are also providing the courier service to the clinics resulting in less people to remove the snow. The total cost of the snow blower add-on is at $5,000.

The board chair of Van Diest Medical Center will appoint a nominating committee to recommend a slate of officers for the 2014 calendar year. The nominating committee will bring their recommendation to the December board meeting. The election of officers will take place at the January board meeting.

There was a closed session of the board Tuesday night to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent.
