Upper Des Moines Opportunity wants Families to pre-register for the Back to School Program

 Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Incorporated  has announced plans for its Back to School program. The program provides backpacks and school supplies to eligible children in Hamilton County who are in grades Pre-K through 12th. Income-eligible families must preregister for the Back to School program by completing an application at the U.D.M.O. outreach office at 1440 East Second Street in Webster City. The pre-registration will begin July 1 and end on July 19. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 until 4:00 p.m. with the exception of 12:30 to 1:00 due to lunch. This year's Back to School event will be held August 8 from 3:30 until 5:00 p.m. in the A.C.E. building at 1440 East Second Street in Webster City. Preregistered, income-eligible families may pick up their children's backpacks and supplies at this event. There will also be various programs from the community present with information on additional resources and programs available for families. A light snack will be provided to families who are attending. Donations of school supplies or monetary donations can be delivered or mailed to the UDMO office at 1440 East Second Street.
