Two Stratford residents received burns as a result of an incident Tuesday afternoon.

 Two Stratford residents were burned late Tuesday afternoon as the result of an incident at a residence. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department  recevied a 911 call that 43 year old David Alan Lundberg was attempting to leave a residence and had allegedly been drinking. Officers were dispatched to the scene. While they were enroute,the caller advised that Lundberg had poured gasoline all around himself and the garage. 20 year old Dakota Buse was attempting to stop Lundberg from lighting the gasonline but it did ignite. Both Buse and Lundberg were both burned in the incident. Buse was transported to Van Diest Medical Center and airlifted to the Iowa Burn Unit in Iowa City.A condition report is not available. Lundberg was treated at Van Diest Medical Center and later released. He was later transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Lundberg is facing charges of Attempted Murder,Willful Injury, Domestic Abuse Assault and Reckless Use of Fire. Assisting the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office were the Ellsworth Jewell Stanhope Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Stratford Fire and Rescue, Van Diest Medical Center, Life Flight and the Hamilton County Attorney's Office.
