Two charged after robbery at Sparky's in Stanhope on Monday night.

New information was released this afternoon in regards to the robbery at Sparky's One Stop Convenience Store in Stanhope by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. The store was robbed by gun point with an undetermined amount of cash taken. During the course of the investigation, suspects were developed. On Tuesday afternoon Webster City Police attempted to stop a suspect vehicle and an approximately 18 mile pursuit ensued. The vehicle stopped on 165th Street east of North Stonega Avenue. The driver of the vehicle is a 17 year old male from Webster City and a passenger 18 year old Andrew Howard Ross Kroeze also of Webster City were taken into custody. A search warrant was obtained and executed on the suspects' vehicle. From the evidence found in the vehicle and learned through the investigation, the 17 year old male was charged with Robbery in the Frist Degree, Eluding and numerous other traffic citations. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Eldora. Through the investigation it was determined the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen. Kroeze was charged with First Degree Robbery and is being in the Hamilton County Jail.The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Webster City Police Department, Iowa State Patrol Wright County Sheriff's Office and the Ellsworth Jewell Stanhope Police Department.
