Two accidents investigated Thursday afternoon by Webster City Police.

 A 14 year old Webster City bicyclist was injured shortly after 12 noon Thursday on Second Street. Webster City Police reported a bicycle operated by Jonathan Hubbard entered the street from a private drive on the north side of the street. An eastbound 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Sidney Renaud of Huxley collided with the Hubbard bicycle. Hubbard was transported to Van Diest Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Damage to the Renaud pickup was estimated at $1000. The accident was investigated by officer Brandon Pritchard.

A two car accident in the 700 block of Superior Street was investigated by Webster City Police. Reportedly a north bound 2004 Buick Century driven by Elizabeth Newman of Webster City failed to stop in time when her car struck the rear bumper of a 2008 Saturn Astra driven by Brady Kern of Stratford. The Kern car was stopped yielding to oncoming traffic. There were no injuries. Investigating officer Jordan Elonich estimated the damage to both the Kern and Newman cars at $500 each.
