Stanhope City Council faces brief agenda.

The Stanhope City Council on Tuesday evening faced a brief agenda.  The council approved a funding request for the Youth and Family Center of Hamilton County in the amount of $760. The amount approved was the same requested amount from last year. A bid was accepted from Mark Hennigar of Kanawha in the amount of $4,825 for a 1994 Ford E-350 ambulance. The Stanhope EMS Department will then combine funds with other funds raised to purchase the 1999 Chevrolet ambulance that is being retrofitted and purchased for the sum of $10,000.

In other matters the Stanhope council accepted a bid from Lampert's of Webster City in the amount of $6,040 for the materials to be used in the roof replacement project at the city  maintenance facility. The Legendary Construction firm of Webster City will provide the labor at a cost of $6,500.

Stanhope fire chief Mike Hanson informed the council that the exterior siding project for the Fire/EMS Building has now been completed by Seamless Pros of Jewell. The cost for all the work is $12,508 with funds coming from the fire department.The works also included the replacement of the roof guttering system. Chief Hanson and Stanhope City Clerk Ron McKenzie have completed the application for an Iowa DNR Fire Grant Application for the purchase of radios and pagers in the amount of $4,980
