Rotary Leadership Banquet is set for Tuesday night.

The 65th annual Webster City Rotary Club Youth Leadership Banquet is set for this Tuesday evening,November 12 at 6:00 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The banquet honors students from all three Hamilton County high schools for their roles in the classroom and in the community. This year's featured speaker is Mike Chapman, He is the publisher of Iowa History Journal, a magazine devoted to the preservation of history in Iowa. Chapman is the author of 26 books and is considered by many the nation's leading authority on the history of wrestling. In 1998, he created the International Wrestling Institute and Museum which was located in Newton for ten years before moving to Waterloo in 2008.

The students to be honored from Northeast Hamilton is Tyler Smith, Jaidyn Timm, Leah Meyer, Austin Smith and Nick Jeffers. Students from South Hamilton is Dana Boor, Matt Hislop, Karsen Houck, Devin Howard, Amy Isvik, Logan Koopman, McKayla Monthei, Hannah Pulis, Miriam Rueger and Trevor Ullestad. The Webster City High School students to be honored by the Rotarians include Doug Stoakes, Megan Gilbert, Maddie Bertran, Ben Mossman, Hannah White, Joe Root, Maddy Haman, Madeline Keane, Kaylee Schnathorst, Tyler Lockwood, John Maubach, Alex Christensen, Gina Moline, Alex Oswald and Tanner Hild.
