One injured in an accident at the Webster City High School parking lot on Friday.

 The Webster City Police Department is investigating a one vehicle accident that occured in the Webster City High School parking lot at about 3:15 Friday afternoon. The accident involved a pedestrian who suffered injuries possibly due to riding or standing on the hood of a motor vehicle. When police arrived,they discovered a 15 year old male student lying on the ground. He was being cared for by school staff and other students. In a news release released Saturday afternoon, Webster City police chief Brian Hughes said that from witness statments,the student was observed standing or riding on the hood of a motor vehicle. The vehicle's speed and distance travelled has yet to be determined. The driver of the vehicle was also a high school student. The 15 year old student was transported to Van Diest Medical Center for undisclosed injuries with the condition report not known. Webster City Police is in the process of reviewing all statements and evidence to determine the cause of the accident on Friday.
