North Carolina motorist escapes injury in a one vehicle accident Saturday evening.

 A 59 year old Charlotte, North Carolina motorist escaped injury in a one vehicle accident on Highway 20 in rural Hamilton County Saturday evening at about 6:30 p.m. The Iowa State Patrol reported an eastbound 1999 Toyota 4-Runner SUV by Joseph G. Dennis,Jr lost control of his vehicle when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. The Dennis SUV entered the south shoulder of the highway, over correcting going into the north shoulder and over corrected again landing in the south ditch where it rolled on its side. The vehicle was totaled as a result. Investigating trooper David Saldivar charged Joseph G. Dennis,Jr with Operation without Registration, Failure to Maintain Control and Violation of a Financial Liability in an Accident.
