No School this Monday in Webster City.

 Students in the Webster City Community School District will take the day off Monday due to Professional Development Day. Administrators and staff will be participating in a district wide technology program with national speakers as well as other speakers from the Area Education Agency and other school districts. The main focus will be how teachers can use iPads in the classroom and how they can apply these concepts into their lessons for this school year to help students develop understanding and apply knowledge.

Elizabeth Hubbell, a nationally known speaker and principal consultant with McREL will be the keynote speaker. She currently conducts workshops and training for K through 12 grade teachers on research based instructional strategies and technology integration. Hubbell also provides consulting for technology initiatives. Classes will resume Tuesday,September 17.
