New City Clerk and Public Works Superintendent for Stanhope announced Friday morning.

 The Stanhope City Council announced Friday morning that Jessica Murray will become the new city clerk effective July 1,2014. Murray will take over for long time city clerk Ron McKenzie who will be retiring on June 30. She currently works at People's Credit Union in Webster City where she has been employed there for eight year. In another appointment Mike Hanson of Stanhope was appointed as the new Public Works Superintendent to replace Tad Stupp effective May 6. Larry Runyan of Stratford was hired as Public Works Assistant on an as needed basis. Runyan is certified by the State of Iowa for Waste Water Treatment,Water Treatment and Water Distribution.
