Lundberg pleads not guilty;trial scheduled for December 3.

 A Stratford man submitted a written plea of not guilty Monday on the charges filed against him late last month. In documents filed in the  Hamilton County Clerk of Court office, 43 year old David A. Lundberg is charged with First Degree Arson, Willful Injury, Reckless Use of Fire or Explosives and Domestic Abuse Assault. Charles Kenville is the attorney representing Lundberg. Lundberg demanded a speedy trial to the charges filed. The date of December 3 at 9:00 a.m. was set for his trial in Hamilton County District Court. Lundberg's bond remains at $250,000. He remains in the Hamilton County Jail. On September 24,Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 807 Moore Street in Stratford after receiving a 911 call that  Lundberg had allegedly been drinking and was trying to leave. The caller said Lundberg had allegedly poured gasoline on himself and to a nearby garage. Lundberg allegedly shoved his stepson, 20 year old Dakota Buse of Stratford,pouring gasoline on him and then igniting him with a cigarette lighter. Buse was trying to stop Lundberg from lighting the fuel. Buse received second and third degree burns over 40 percent of his body as a result of the incident. He was then taken to the University of Iowa Hospital Burn Unit for treatment.
