ISU Extension and Outreach Office of Hamilton County to celebrate Extension Week.

 Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach of Hamilton County will  be celebrating Extension Week March 25 through 29 as part of a statewide celebration this month. Extension Week will be kicked off with a chamber coffee this Friday,March 22 at the Extension office at 311 Bank Street beginning at 10:00 a.m. On Monday,March 25, "Celebrating Youth Day" will feature multiple extension resources available for parents and caregivers.Area youth are invited to look for a special ISU Extension and Outreach coloring page on the Hamilton County Extension website or at your local library. You are invited to color and return the page to the Extension office for a prize. On Tuesday,March 26, "Cans for Cookies" is an event in which residents can drop off any non-perishable food item at the Hamilton County Extension Office in Webster City and receive a cookie along with information about the Family Nutrition Program. Donations will be accepted from 10 am until 12:30 pm. All donations will  be distributed to area food pantries. "Thank Our Partners Day" will be held on Wednesday,March 27. On this day, there will be a recognition of many volunteers, community leaders,organizations, agencies and other partners who support ISU Extension and Outreach work in Hamilton County.  On Thursday,March 28,"Did You Know Day" will be held. Residents are invited to check out the Extension and Outreach websit for some fun and interesting facts. The Extension Office will be closed Friday,March 29 but there will be a special prize drawing for one of their Facebook fans on the Hamilton County Extension and Outreach Facebook page on that day. Winners can pick up their prize on Monday,April 1 at the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Webster City. For more information please call 515-832-9597.
