Hamilton County Supervisors approve several contracts at their Tuesday meeting.

The Hamilton County Supervisors Tuesday morning approved several contracts at their meeting. One of them was with Community and Family Resources for substance abuse prevention aimed at youth in Hamilton County. A contract with the engineering firm of Snyder and Associates of Ankeny for the Jewellsworth recreational trail project. Last year the communities of Jewell and Ellsworth received a Resource Enhancement and Protection Grant for $125,000 for creating the trail. In 2009,the Hamilton County Conservation Department received a transportation enhancement grant through the Iowa Department of Transportation to place a bridge over a drainage ditch near Jewell. The bridge project is estimated at over $178,000. Hamilton County Conservation director Brian Lammers said he would like to combine the projects with the engineering firm to get the trail project finally started.

A non binding Letter of Intent with D3,LLC was approved by the supervisors. The letter is in regards to the potential sale of property across from the Hamilton County Courthouse on Red Bull Division Drive for a special development project that is now in its early stages.

A contract with Active Networks, Incorporated with Briggs Woods Golf Course for software services was approved on Tuesday.
