Hamilton County Compensation Board recommends 3.5% increase for elected officials next fiscal year.

 The Hamilton County Compensation Board Friday afternoon recommneded a 3.5% raise in salaries for the county's elected officials for the 2015 fiscal year. The proposed salaries include:

Attorney-$69,661

Auditor-$55,236

Recorder-$53,720

Sheriff-$72,249

Supervisors (3 board members)-$36,800

Treasurer-$54,686

There was discussion on comparing the salaries of elected officials in surrounding counties and with the Consumer Price Index. The recommendation will be forwarded to the Hamilton County Supervisors for final approval. If approved, the salaries would take effect on July 1 of next year. In other matters, John Zahn was named chair of the compensation board with Tim Neuroth as secretary.
