Fort Dodge man facing burglary charges

 Fort Dodge Police on Saturday night were dispatched to the parking lot of Applebee's restaurant, 2810 Fifth Avenue South to investigate a report of a burglary to a vehicle.  The caller gave dispatchers a good description of the suspect and his direction of travel. When officers arrived in the area they located the subject, 21 year old Tyler Ayala of Fort Dodge in the Crossroads Mall parking lot. During the investigation officers found two other vehicles that had been burglarized and one that the suspect had attempted to enter. Various items including electronics and cash were taken from the vehicles, all of which were recovered by officers. Ayala appeared to have been highly intoxicated at the time of his arrest. He was transported to Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center by ambulance where he was treated and released. Ayala was arrested and booked into the Webster County Jail for three counts of Burglary in the third degree and one count of Attempted Burglary.
