Fort Dodge man arrested Monday night.

Police in Fort Dodge were dispatched to investigate a possible fight at an apartment at 1222 Fifth Avenue North shortly after 8:30 Monday night. The occupants in the apartment 19 year old Deon Clayton and 33 year old Tina Ellen Cooper both of Fort Dodge has an altercation. Officers found Cooper lying on a bed with a stab wound to her stomach and lacerations to her neck. Fort Dodge Fire Rescue and Trinity Regional Paramedics were called to the scene. Cooper was transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Fort Dodge Police conducted interviews with the involved parties and a witness, as well as collecting physical evidence.  As a result of the investigation and in consultation with the Webster County Attorney's Office, Deon Deiaz Clayton was booked into the Webster County Jail  on charges of Willful Injury, First Degree Harassment, False Imprisonment and Violation of a No Contact order. Clayton was to have made an appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on the charges filed against him.
