"Floating Through History:An entertaining look at Iowa's Waterways" comes to Kendall Young Library on April 11.

The Friends of Kendall Young Library invites you to their annual meeting on Thursday,April 11 at 6:30 in the Kendall Young Library meeting room. The featured speaker will be Larry Stone with his presentation of "Floating Through History:An entertaining look at Iowa's Waterways". Stone is a nature photographer, writer, lecturer,and native Iowan. In this program,he will share images and stories of the natural and cultural resources found along Iowa's waterways. Stone worked for the Des Moines Register from 1972 to 1997,traveling throughout Iowa, sharing stories and photos of the state's natural treasures.  A brief Friends of the Library business meeting will precede the presentation. Stone's appearance is made possible by Humanities Iowa.
