Ellsworth farmer wins $5,000 for the Ellsworth Public Library and Youth and Shelter Services through America's Farmers Grow Communities.

 Adam Hill of Ellsworth has been selected as a winner in America's Farmers Grow Communities sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. Grow Communities gives farmers the opportunity to win a $2,500 donation to direct to their favorite local nonprofit organizations. To further support counties that have been declared disaster areas due to drought by the U.S.Department of Agriculture, winning farmers in these counties were able to direct double the donation, a total of $5,000 to further support the community. Hamilton County was declared a disaster area by the U.S.D.A.,giving Adam Hill the opportunity to place two $2,500 donations. Hill selected the Ellsworth Public Library and the Youth and Shelter Services of Hamilton County. A check presentation is set for this Friday evening at 7:00 during the Ellsworth Public Library Trivia Game Night as a Monsanto representative will present the donations to both the library and to Youth and Shelter Services.
