Campground hosts need at Briggs Woods Park and Little Wall Lake Park.

 The Hamilton County Conservation Department is looking for persons to become Campground Host Volunteers at the Briggs Woods Park campground and or Little Wall Lake Park campground. There will be a new host meeting on Wednesday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hamilton County Conservation headquarters in Briggs Woods Park for anyone interested in hosting. If you are selected as a Campground Host Volunteer, you will receive free camping, including water,sewer and electricity during the length of your stay. To become a Campground Host Volunteer, you must be at least 21 years of age, have a camper suitable for staying at least 14 consecutive days in the campground and possess a friendly attitude. For periods of time between April 1 and October 31, the volunteer will serve as a :"live-in" host at the Briggs Woods Park campground. The primary responsibilities of the host are to assist campers by providing helpful information and answering questions, explaining park rules and regulations to campers, assure that campers register properly through the self registration process, contact proper authorities in the event of an emergency, perform light cleaning of grounds, restrooms and cabins, and close the park gate at 10:30 p.m. Volunteers are required to be available for a minimum two week period. Considerations will be given for an extended period of stay. Campground Host Volunteers need to apply at the Hamilton County Conservation Office at 2490 Briggs Woods Trail in Webster City for a personal interview prior to being appointed as a Campground Host Volunteer.
