Briggs Woods Autumn Nite Hike on Saturday.

The Hamilton County Conservation Department and Foster Funeral and Cremation Center will sponsor the Autumn Night Hike this Saturday, October 20 at Briggs Woods Park and Golf Course south of Webster City. A light meal will be served from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. with the hike from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Those participating will learn the survival techniques used by animals in Briggs Woods Park. There will be stations on camouflage, winter survival, moles and coyotes. If you plan on attending you are asked to park at the Briggs Woods Park beach parking lot and walk the bike trail to Shelter 2 for the meal. The hike will start every 10 minutes starting at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. A maximum of 25 people per group is permitted and the hike will last approximately one hour.
