The election of the officers was one of the highlights during the annual meeting of the Hamilton County Fair Board. The board honored Keith McCollough of Webster City for his years of service to both the Hamilton County Fair Board and the Fair Foundation. McCollough is retiring from the foundation board as of this year. There were several reports presented during the board meeting including the race season, fair entertainment, the fair foundation, extension projects and more. Hamilton County Fair President Randy Chalfant said next year's dates for the fair will be July 22 through 27 with a parade, queen contest, auto racing, demolition derby and more. The theme for the fair will be announced by the end of this year.
